Overview
Garjia Zone is one of the newest safari zones in Jim Corbett National Park, recently opened to the public to reduce pressure on the core zones. It’s a picturesque zone known for its dense Sal forests, tranquil riverbanks, and peaceful ambiance—making it a favorite among nature lovers seeking less commercialized safari experiences.
The zone is named after the famous Garjia Devi Temple, located nearby on a large rock in the Kosi River, adding cultural interest to the area. Garjia provides a great mix of scenic forest drives, bird watching, and chances to spot elephants, deer, leopards, and more.
Because it’s a new zone, Garjia tends to be less crowded, offering a more intimate and relaxing safari experience without compromising on wildlife diversity.
